Stella Nash grew up in St Albans and continues to remain a local resident in the district.
Throughout her time here she has gone on to have three children who are now adults and continue to remain residents of St Albans.
In her twenties, Stella worked hard to become an executive director within the NHS in Central London.
And with a passion for business, health and wellbeing, Stella then founded her own fitness company and grew it to an international level.
Whilst living in the town, Stella turned to local politics to be able to give a voice to the community. Having achieved her goals, she wanted to help others achieve theirs.
Elected in 2018 as a St Albans and District Councillor for the Park Street and Bricket Wood East Ward, Stella hit the ground running.
Stella sits on the following committees at SADC,
Chair of Planning,
(Development Control) Committee South,
Planning Resources Housing and Commercial Scrutiny Committee,
Employment Procedure Committee.
This last year has been an enormous challenge for everyone and amazing resilience has been demonstrated.
However, she has found that so many of our local issues require the coming together of the SADC and HCC.
She recognises that bringing together both for the community will ensure that the line of responsibility for these matters is transparent and workable.
Stella’s priorities are: to help the community recover and prosper post COVID-19 by supporting and working hard to achieve this, protect our NHS and social services,
support our children and their education,
protect green belt and tackle climate issues,
make and keep our roads safe.
