I have lived in Handside, Welwyn Garden City for over 30 years, and have been a Handside Councillor for 12 years, working hard to help residents with their issues and to make Welwyn Hatfield a wonderful place to live.
My husband and I have raised our 3 children in WGC, and I know first hand the importance of families having access to good local schools, and for residents of all ages to live in safe communities, with access to healthy green spaces and thriving Town Centres.
As a former NHS Nurse and Midwife, promoting health and wellbeing and helping residents of all ages access quality services and support is very important to me. I have done this via Healthfest; and in my current volunteer roles as a Covid Information Champion and Chair of the Welwyn Hatfield Dementia Action Alliance; and as Executive Member for Governance, Public Health and Climate Change at Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council.
