Richard Roberts

Having grown up in Shropshire, Richard left Sheffield University with an honours degree in Geology . The next ten years were spent in the oil industry working in many parts of the world, specialising in geological evaluation. Whilst living in Glasgow he did aMasters in Environmental Studies.

Richard is the County Councillor for the Kings Langley division which also includes the villages of Bourne End, Felden, Bovingdon, Flaunden and Chipperfield. he is the executive member for Adult Social Care and Chairman of Hertfordshire’s Health and Wellbeing Board.

He previously led in cabinet on Children’s Services and Public Health. Richard was a Dacorum Borough Councillor for ten which included four as Chairman of  Planning.

Richard is a Trustee of Community Action Dacorum

married with two daughters, Richard enjoys gardening, Tennis and walking with the families now 3 dogs (Oscar arrived last week!) Richard is planning to run the London Marathon in October for the Brain and Spine Foundation.
