Fiona is currently the Conservative County Councillor for Royston East and Ermine Division, which includes Royston and the villages of Barkway, Barley, Nuthampstead and Reed. She represents the interests of over 17,000 residents and works with District, Town and Parish Councillors, together with other stakeholders, for the benefit of all residents within the division. She has a Highways Locality Budget and Community Locality Budget to allocate in the division.
County Council Responsibilities
Since being elected to Hertfordshire County Council in 2009, Fiona has held the positions of Deputy Executive Member for Highways and Waste, Public Health, Localism and Libraries and is now Deputy Executive Member for Adult Care and Health, which includes sitting on the boards of the Carers’ and All Age Autism Co-production Boards, plus the Hertfordshire Adult and Family Learning Service. She also sits on the Community Safety and Waste Cabinet Panel and was on the Education Cabinet Panel and Scrutiny Committees, which involved participation in Topic Groups including Maternity, Healthy Schools and Adoption of Roads. Fiona has also consistently championed greater recognition for Carers, raising awareness of Mental Health issues, Dementia, Sepsis and is working with the Royston and Area Integrated Care CIC trying to secure a facility for Health and Social Care.

She has been a School Governor and supporter of many organisations, including Home-Start Royston and South Cambridgeshire, Royston and District Community Transport, Friends of Royston and District Healthcare, Royal British Legion and Royston and District Twinning Association.
