Graham McAndrew - The Conservative Party Candidate for the Bishop’s Stortford Rural Division for
the County Council. Married to Dee, Graham has 1 son. First elected to the County Council in 2013.
He is a Governor of the Bishop’s Stortford Boy’s High school.
Since becoming a councillor, Graham has been proactive on many issues such as Air Quality, Climate Change, congestion, carbon footprint, transformation from combustion engines to zero carbon vehicles and recycling. Graham liaises with all authorities within Hertfordshire and beyond in reducing our carbon footprint.
Graham has been Deputy Executive Member for Children Young People and Families for the past 4 years and has been a governor of St Elizabeths for 8 years.
Graham is taking an active lead on a pilot scheme for the Hadham’s, Albury villages and the Hamlets to help our villages to fully take advantage of East Herts Healthy Hub, East Herts Culture strategy and Dementia friendliness action plan to support social connection and improved wellbeing in villages and hamlets as we recover from the impact of Covid-19.
