Jonathan Kaye has been a councillor in Hertfordshire since 2015. He is on Hertfordshire County Council's Overview & Scrutiny Committee, a member of the Adult Care & Health Panel and he has chaired the review into the Hertfordshire Adult Safeguarding Board. He is also on a committee that organises training for new councillors and is currently Chairman of East Herts Council.
Before moving to Hertfordshire, Jonathan was a councillor in Enfield where he was Cabinet Member for Leisure, Culture and the Voluntary Sector. His career has been mainly in broadcast journalism for the BBC and LBC and worked in various parts of the UK including Liverpool, Wiltshire, Bedfordshire and Sussex. He has also worked for a London based charity producing audio material for people who are visually impaired. Jonathan lives in Ware with Kezia, who works for a musicians charity. He has two sons in their twenties, Ben and Daniel, who went to schools in Hertfordshire and currently live in London.
Jonathan enjoys swimming, supporting Liverpool FC and when he gets the opportunity, playing Pickleball at Wodson Park. Pickleball is a game that started in the USA and is a cross between badminton, tennis and table tennis.
