  • invest £53m in additional Special Educational Needs and Disabilities school places
  • provide significant additional funding for adult social care
  • commit £33m to leverage private investment to secure 1500 extra care housing units

Major re-build for popular Hemel Hempstead School

The Astley Cooper School originally built to serve the Hemel Hempstead New Town Development will benefit from a major re-building project funded jointly by Hertfordshire County Council and  Department for Education.

Improving Healthcare for Veterans

The Hertfordshire Armed Forces Covenant Board recently commissioned a survey to understand better the needs of veterans living in Hertfordshire. The research involved interviews with veterans, local NHS services and sought input from a Focus Group and the final report can be found at
